Executive Chef Clayton Miller Named a 2010 Best New Chef by Food & Wine Magazine

Executive Chef Clayton Miller of Trummer's On Main has been named one of Food & Wine magazine's Best New Chefs of 2010. In its 22nd year, the prestigious award was announced this evening live at the Four Seasons restaurant in New York City.

Chef Miller opened Trummer's On Main with Stefan and Victoria Trummer in July 2009 in Victoria's hometown of Clifton. His trademark Creative American cuisine focusing on simple, globally influenced fare garnered both local and national acclaim. Previously, Miller was Executive Chef at Norman Van Aken's Norman's in Orlando, Florida.

The magazine works with restaurant critics, food writers and other trusted experts around the country to identify outstanding chefs who have been in charge of a kitchen for less than five years. Then the editors travel, incognito, to taste the food themselves.

As America's talent-seeking epicurean magazine, Food & Wine has awarded the Best New Chef title to such luminaries-in-the-making as Thomas Keller ('88), Nobu Matsuhisa ('89) and Tom Colicchio ('91).

Now, restaurateur couple Stefan and Victoria Trummer along with their culinary counterparts take charge of history setting a course for Creative American cuisine at the new Trummer's On Main. Executive Chef Clayton Miller will oversee this menu along with Pastry Chef Chris Ford creating the dessert menu. Sommelier Tyler Packwood has developed a wine list comprised from the openview wine cellar that holds over 8,000 bottles. And hand-crafted cocktails are the skills of owner Stefan Trummer.
